Devon and I were married in the Twin Falls Idaho temple on February 19th 2011. We live in a little apartment just one street over from my oldest sister and her family. It was so good to see all of my family at my wedding. My brother came all the way from California and my parents from Wisconsin. We were nervous that my brother wasn't going to make it because he was stuck in Donner Pass for a few hours. The sealing ceremony was amazing! President Nelson talked about my grandpa that is passed now and that he was definitely there with us that day. Taking the bite of cake was a challenge for me because I do not particularly like cake, but i managed to swallow it. :) The reception was beautiful, my family is absolutely amazing pulling it all together. My aunt Brenda made my beautiful flowers, my uncle and aunt took some great candid shots, especially of my grandma and the grand kids. My mom was absolutely amazing i swear that woman can get anything done..like plan a wedding in 3 months and completely remake the top half of my dress! I wish my parents lived closer! The morning of my wedding my daddy surprised me like he use to with a king size Kit Kat bar. Although i ate one piece and then my siblings seem to have found it and then it disappeared. The reception was great i got to see my old roommates from BYU, however it was all kind of a blur. I just wanted to go home and go to bed. As it turns out your wedding day can be quite exhausting when you wait until 3pm to finally get married.
Now me and Devon are just going to school and working. Devon is going into accounting and i am going into nursing, we both have about two more years. Devon is the manager of a gas station in down town Twin Falls as well as working in FedEx in the morning..I have such a dedicated husband:) I currently work at Winco in the bakery and for Idaho Home Health and Hospice as a CNA. This summer i am taking a phlebotomy class in hopes that it will help be a great nurse one day! Recently i just got a hair cut by my middle school and high school best friend and i love it!! It is definitely a change not to have hair down to the middle of my back anymore, but my head is so much lighter. Not to mention think of all the shampoo that i'll save. It has been interesting living with a guy again, but it's like i'm still at home picking up after my daddy:) You know i believe what they say..."a girl really does marry her daddy." I am sure that Devon has had a great time learning all of my pet peves and quirks (sarcastic voice.)I guess it's it a very good thing that he loves me so much and we have eternity to perfect this thing called marriage. Sometimes it makes me wonder how some people make it look so easy..they must be very good actors and actresses, well either that or i'm just the baby and am use to having things my way ha. Apparently it's time to learn how to share:) I never was very good at sharing especially my mom...wait i still don't like to share my mom with people! whoops....I guess i should work on a few things before we start having babies.
Speaking of babies we just went to UT to stay with my sister Brittany and her husband Devin( yes it gets confusing having a Devin and a Devon in the family) and they 4 month old baby named Liam. He is a doll! I just love him, the great thing about both my sisters having kids is that i can just play with them and don't actually have to do the work...yet:) Although i still somehow always end up changing diapers, explain that to me please.
The weather here has been awful! one day will be warm and sunny and it makes you think "Spring is finally here!" and then the next day it snows:( how depressing.
Dude.. the weather here is exactly the same. And the reason you change diapers is because you're AWESOME. and you can start making babies any time you want. I'll change your kiddo's diapers (when they are breastmilk poo, not real poo). Love YOU!
