Getting Closer

Well we are now drawing near to the end of September..which means our little baby Sawyer Genevieve will be here soon! I am now considered full term so technically this little girl could be here any day. I am hoping that I have my sisters luck and she decides to come at least a little bit early. Hopefully not until after I get my hair done tomorrow though:) She moves around like crazy. Usually will her legs sticking out the right side of me and her little rump up inside my legs. She is starting to make sleeping VERY difficult. So combined with her daddy's sleep talking/walking lets just say is been a rough couple of weeks for sleeping. Our little Sawyer measures a little bit small but just in her abdomen so they aren't worried. They said she will just be a skinny baby not a fat baby. If I go full term she will weight 6lbs something I can't remember how many oz they said. That is a lot better than if they had said 8-10lbs!

We had the Twin Falls county fair a couple weeks ago and Devon's parents do a food booth. I helped out on Saturday, but worked way to hard for being 9 months pregnant and ended up getting sick so on Sunday all I could do was sit it the back and peel peaches and make onion ring towers. Needless to say I felt pretty useless...and I do not like that feeling, but I had to make sure that little Sawyer was safe:)We all had fun though despite a few who had some temper tantrums and some emotional break downs.

In July we went to NY to visit my parents and had a wonderful time! We swam in their pool, visited all the church historic sites like Palmyra, the Smith family farm, and we went to the Palmyra pageant. We also went to Niagara Falls. I am trying to get some pictures up, but they seem to be lost on my computer somewhere. So as soon as I can find them I will get them up here:) We got to see my grandpa while we were there. He didn't remember who I was, but it was good for me to see him because it will probably be the last time I get to. It was also the last time I was able to see our dog Nigel. We didn't know that at the time, but later found out he had a big tumor in his ear and they had to put him down a couple weeks ago. He was a good puppy.

We had our child birth class last weekend and it kinda freaked Devon out a little bit. Well a lot a bit. ha. Hopefully he will be less scared and nervous when it is actually happening! We are both getting excited and anxious. It will be nice when she is finally here! My mother will be coming out thankfully! My cousin is leaving on a mission so she will drop her off in UT and they will all attend General Conference and then come up to ID and stay with me for a couple weeks while we get settled with our new bundle of joy. And I will have 6 weeks off of work:) It will not be long enough so we will have to figure out what we are going to do with our little princess when it is time for me to go back to work. Luckily Devon only has class twice a week so we may be able to just work it out so she is always with either me or him nobody else!!:)

My niece and nephews birthday party was on Saturday and they were so stinking adorable!! They both loved their presents. Kady got a baby alive doll, clothes, books, and I got her this thing called a Lala Loopsy doll toy and apparently she played with it for hours today, so I did a good job! Bradon of course got mostly Cars stuff...mainly Tow Mater and Lightning Mcqueen, and oh my goodness he did not want to share! As soon as one of his cousins (well second cousins I guess) tried to touch any of his cars stuff or his train set my parents got him, he freaked out!! ha But in his defense it was his birthday and they were his brand new toys. Maybe next time he will be willing to share.

The six weeks I am off hopefully I will have more time to blog so my sister stops getting mad at me:)

New beginnings big and small...:)

Well as you all probably know I am horrible at this blogging thing! But I do my best:)
First of all I should let everyone know who doesn't already I am no longer in the nursing program and I LOVE it! It turns out that I actually do not want to be a nurse. However, I am working at the hospital still. I am a receptionist in the St. Lukes Clinic Physician Center. It is so much fun. I get to work with my friend Maricela. So for now I am just working while my husband goes to school.

...Our big exciting news lately is that we are having a baby!!!...
I am about 15 weeks, so in 5 more weeks we will know if we are having a little prince or princess! Hopefully a princess. In the beginning he wanted a boy, but now I think I have him convinced to want a girl. Too bad we don't have any control over what our little baby will be. As long as he or she is healthy I will be extremely happy. I would just be super excited if it turns out to be a girl:) Everything makes me cry lately. My mood changes like every five minutes it's awful. One minute I'm happy the next I'm crying. It is a good thing I have a very loving husband that puts up with my mood swings. Man it must stink to be him on those days.

...Last weekend older sister, her husband, and adorable little nephew came to visit us for Easter. It was so much fun watching them hunt for eggs. Kadance of course wanted to get all of them for herself so we had to keep telling her to put them back so the little kids could pick up some eggs as well. There are videos of all of them easter egg hunting on my facebook page.

Summer Happenings

I start the nursing program this fall and Devon starts the accounting program through BSU this fall. Our little apartment is slowly looking better and more like a home! My phlebotomy class is going very well, but i have to have 100 clinical hours by August 22 and i will be in Alaska for about 10 days including travel so it is going to be hard to get it all in with work too. Especially because I still haven't even gotten my assignment to do my clinical hours. I think we are going fishing on Saturday we just have to borrow some fishing gear from his grandparents. We went to Michaels a couple weeks ago and found those old, huge, wax lips, and some old 3D glasses that we were just goofing around with one night. It was kinda lame, but fun! Our new favorite movie is Just go With it. It is hilarious we got it from netflix and loved it so much we went out and bought it. At a family dinner the other night we found out that both of his sisters in law are pregnant so then everyone looked at me saying when are you going to get pregnant....i felt super awkward and just kind of shook my head. Me a Devon decided that it would be best  if we waited until after the nursing program. I finally my thank you notes sent out from our wedding presents. Sorry to everyone for how late they are. We are still waiting on the rest of our photos from Devon's brother London though. Mainly we have just been doing school since we are both taking summer classes and I'm testing out of a class too. I recently found out that the first semester of nursing is only 7 credits and i already have all my of pre-requisites done even for a bachelors degree so i have to figure out what other classes i can take. So luckily my teacher just called me and i will start my clinicals next week! now i just have to coordinate with my work schedule. Why does life have to be so frustrating?Things can never just be easy. My niece is going to sleep over tonight i think so that should be an interesting experience..we'll see if both of us survive:)

...Just The Beginning..

Devon and I were married in the Twin Falls Idaho temple on February 19th 2011. We live in a little apartment just one street over from my oldest sister and her family. It was so good to see all of my family at my wedding. My brother came all the way from California and my parents from Wisconsin. We were nervous that my brother wasn't going to make it because he was stuck in Donner Pass for a few hours. The sealing ceremony was amazing! President Nelson talked about my grandpa that is passed now and that he was definitely there with us that day. Taking the bite of cake was a challenge for me because I do not particularly like cake, but i managed to swallow it. :) The reception was beautiful, my family is absolutely amazing pulling it all together. My aunt Brenda made my beautiful flowers, my uncle and aunt took some great candid shots, especially of my grandma and the grand kids. My mom was absolutely amazing i swear that woman can get anything done..like plan a wedding in 3 months and completely remake the top half of my dress! I wish my parents lived closer! The morning of my wedding my daddy surprised me like he use to with a king size Kit Kat bar. Although i ate one piece and then my siblings seem to have found it and then it disappeared. The reception was great i got to see my old roommates from BYU, however it was all kind of a blur. I just wanted to go home and go to bed. As it turns out your wedding day can be quite exhausting when you wait until 3pm to finally get married.
Now me and Devon are just going to school and working. Devon is going into accounting and i am going into nursing, we both have about two more years. Devon is the manager of a gas station in dow
n town Twin Falls as well as working in FedEx in the morning..I have such a dedicated husband:) I currently work at Winco in the bakery and for Idaho Home Health and Hospice as a CNA. This summer i am taking a phlebotomy class in hopes that it will help be a great nurse one day! Recently i just got a hair cut by my middle school and high school best friend and i love it!! It is definitely a change not to have hair down to the middle of my back anymore, but my head is so much lighter. Not to mention think of all the shampoo that i'll save. It has been interesting living with a guy again, but it's like i'm still at home picking up after my daddy:) You know i believe what they say..."a girl really does marry her daddy." I am sure that Devon has had a great time learning all of my pet peves and quirks (sarcastic voice.)I guess it's it a very good thing that he loves me so much and we have eternity to perfect this thing called marriage. Sometimes it makes me wonder how some people make it look so easy..they must be very good actors and actresses, well either that or i'm just the baby and am use to having things my way ha. Apparently it's time to learn how to share:) I never was very good at sharing especially my mom...wait i still don't like to share my mom with people! whoops....I guess i should work on a few things before we start having babies.

Speaking of babies we just went to UT to stay with my sister Brittany and her husband Devin( yes it gets confusing having a Devin and a Devon in the family) and they 4 month old baby named Liam. He is a doll! I just love him, the great thing about both my sisters having kids is that i can just play with them and don't actually have to do the work...yet:) Although i still somehow always end up changing diapers, explain that to me please.

The weather here has been awful! one day will be
warm and sunny and it makes you think "Spring is finally here!" and then the next day it snows:( how depressing.
